Coach Kara McClendon Melton recently moved to the Marianna, Florida area and is currently taking new students. Growing up in Birmingham, Alabama, Kara started her pitching career when she was 10 years old. From there, she and her Dad traveled the country to attend camps and clinics to learn more about the art of Fast-pitch pitching. Their inspiration came from learning from Softball legends like Cindy Bristow, Michelle Smith, JoAnne Graf, and Herb Dudley. After a winning season at Berry High School, Kara attended Princeton University for 4 years on scholarship and pitched for the Tigers. She was then asked to go abroad and pitched in the Italian National Softball League for 3 consecutive seasons and even went to play in the European Cup in The Netherlands. She is a true fast pitch Softball pioneer and founding member of White Lightning Softball in Hoover, Alabama.

Kara teaches effective and efficient fundamentals most similar to what is now called the internal rotation pitching style. All private lessons are taught at Mpact Sports facility in Marianna Florida with the lane fees already taken care of.

Virtual Pitching Lessons

Another part of the Field of Dreams virtual pitching platform is through video consultation. Coach Kara will respond directly to you and your daughter for a meet and greet and will send over the registration forms to get started. There is the option of just a one-time consultation for $25 and a monthly bundle for $100 which includes 4 video consultations geared towards staying consistent with weekly progress.
